Japanese Course

The 1-Year Basic Japanese Course and 1-Year Advanced Japanese Course are a full-time course that equips students with the necessary knowledge and language proficiency in order to get into a vocational school or get employed in Japan.
Various activities like interactive sessions with university students and homestay programs are conducted frequently to allow our students to experience first-hand the cultures in Japan.
The course also includes well-balanced reading and writing lessons, preparing students for JLPT N1 and N2 exams.
Interview guidance will be provided to those who wish to get into vocational schools.
Furthermore, those who seek employment in Japan can choose to participate in career workshops and business Japanese language courses.
Although this is a 1-year course with intakes in April and October, students are given an option to extend the course up to a maximum of 2 years to achieve advanced level proficiency.

Purpose: This course is designed for students aiming to find employment in Japan or in their home country, or to advance to vocational schools. We aim to foster proficient Japanese speakers who will actively succeed in the professional world. This program offers a higher target level than our 1-Year Basic Japanese Course.

＊Upon completing the 1-Year Advanced Japanese Course, students can smoothly transition to the 1-Year University & Graduate School Preparatory Course.

Pre-Intermediate -Intermediate Level

Integrated Skills	At the B1 level, students will focus on searching and organizing information, giving presentations, exchanging feedback, and conducting off-campus research. At the B2 level, you will summarize information from videos and social media, write research-based reports, and participate in external events to develop advanced expression and inquiry skills step-by-step.
Listening	At the B1 level, students will listen to real-world materials such as simplified news, speeches, public announcements, and radio broadcasts to grasp key points. At the B2 level, you will practice listening to natural-speed news, academic lectures, and debates to understand specific intentions and subtle nuances step-by-step.
Reading	BAt the B1 level, students will practice extracting and understanding key points from adapted news articles, easy Japanese stories, and instruction manuals. At the B2 level, you will read newspaper articles, novels, and specialized texts to gather, organize, and accurately comprehend essential information from university admissions and job recruitment materials step-by-step.
Speaking	At the B1 level, students will express their opinions in everyday situations, conduct interviews, and give 3-to-5-minute presentations. At the B2 level, you will handle inquiries about your future path and network at social events. You will also give presentations in specialized fields, develop arguments while considering the audience’s perspective, and work on improving your pronunciation step-by-step.
Writing	Students will start with writing emails, diaries, and short essays of around 400 characters. As you progress to higher levels, you will train to write reports on social issues, summarize newspaper articles, and create effective presentation slides step-by-step.
Grammar	Following our textbooks, students will master grammar and practice applying it in writing and conversation. In addition to high-frequency everyday expressions, you will also deepen your understanding of less common grammar points to refine your overall language skills step-by-step.
Kanji	Classes are divided by proficiency level, allowing students to expand their vocabulary and learn natural collocations step by step.
Japanese Culture	Students can choose elective cultural classes based on their own interests. (Options include: Novels, Local Exploration, Cooking, Music/Songs, Manga, Gaming, Tea Ceremony, and more.)

Beginner Level

Integrated Skills	Following our textbooks, students will learn foundational vocabulary and grammar, then practice using them through pair work and group activities modeled after real-life scenarios step-by-step.
Listening	Students will practice listening to teacher instructions, public announcements, and conversations at networking events with proficient Japanese speakers. You will develop the ability to grasp key points while taking notes as needed step-by-step.
Reading	Students will read school and community guidelines, menus, brochures, and personal emails to practice extracting key information. Through short, simple texts, you will develop the ability to quickly grasp the core points—such as “who, what, when, and where”—step-by-step.
Speaking	Students will join networking events with proficient Japanese speakers to practice introducing themselves, expressing their needs in simple terms at supermarkets, convenience stores, and department stores, and asking questions during interviews. You will also give short presentations about yourself and your home country, share your thoughts on simple readings or videos, and practice discussing familiar topics to express your opinions step-by-step.
Writing	Students will train to express information about themselves, their families, and their home countries, as well as write down schedules in short notes. You will also practice writing well-structured essays of around 200 to 300 characters on familiar topics, developing the ability to express your opinions clearly with supporting reasons step-by-step.
