Short-Term Students in 2017 Academic Year

If you have some knowledge of Japanese and want to continue to study for a short period can attend one of the following classes at anytime, provided that they can catch up with the class. (Please note that the beginners are not accepted in the middle of the term. They are required to start in April or in October.)

■Application Procedure

1)

Fill out the prescribed forms of application and of your personal history and send them to the school by post with 4 photos (4×3 cm, taken within the last 3 months) with a copy of your passport, one month before you plan to enter.(You can send them as PDF documents by E-mail.)

2)

Applicants are required to pay the screening fee of 20,000 yen and the admission fee of 25,000 yen and tuition fees through a wire transfer.

3)

After the payment is confirmed, the school will send the applicant Letter of Admission.

※ The fees are not refundable under any circumstances.

4)

Apply for the temporary visitor visa (90 days) or working holiday visa to the Japanese embassy in your country, if necessary. You may need other documents about which you can find at the embassy.

As a precondition to entering JET Academy, the applicant must first take out travel insurance in the applicant’s home country for the term of intended study at JET Academy.

■We offer private and semi-private lessons

Tuition fee for a 50 minute lesson is as follows:
  • 1:1 (One teacher for one student) 5,000 yen
  • 1:2 (One teacher for two students) 2,700 yen (each)
  • 1:3 (One teacher for three students) 1,900 yen (each)

General Japanese Course
(Beginner 1, Beginner 2, Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2)
The General Japanese Course classes are separated by Japanese level.
There will be a school speech contest held in late July. Other extracurricular activities include tours around Tokyo, Kabuki, famous fireworks displays, and more.

Duration: 30 June (Fri.) ~ 28 July (Fri.) ※30 June - Placement Test will be Conducted.
Class hours: 9:00 ~ 12:40
(Vacation: Saturday, Sunday, and national holidays)

Once a week or twice a week, in the afternoon, there will also be classes.

Conversation Course

Target: Beginner ~ Intermediate
Duration: 31 July (Mon.) ~11 August (Fri.)
Time: 10:00 to 12:40
(Vacation: Saturday and Sunday)

For students wishing to improve their communication skills, please select this conversation course. While reviewing basic grammar, we will be studying from fun sources, such as a TV programs or a short story drama, to learn conversational Japanese.

Continuing to study in the same class as July is also possible.
