3-month Japanese Course

Attend on-going classes in the 1-year Japanese Course for 3 months (or 2 months) and learn comprehensive Japanese focusing on reading, writing, listening and speaking.
This is a full-time course. Besides studying Japanese, there will be various activities for students to participate in. Students taking this short-term course can also apply to stay in our school dormitory.
Upon completing the short-term course, students can continue studying Japanese by switching to the 1-year or 1.5-year long-term course.

Target Applicants

Those with beginner to intermediate-advanced level in Japanese proficiency. If you would like to enrol 「Beginner I」, kindly choose courses starting in April, July, or October.

Application

  1. Submit the ① Application Form ② Photograph ③ Passport Copy in PDF to [info@jet.ac.jp] at least one month before the commencement of class.
  2. Applicants are required to pay the screening fee of JPY 20,000, the admission fee of JPY 25,000 and tuition fees through one of the payment methods available.
  3. After payment is confirmed, the school will send out the Letter of Admission.
    ※The fees paid are not refundable under any circumstances.
  4. Apply for a temporary visitor visa (90 days) or working holiday visa at the Japanese embassy in your country (if necessary). Other required documents could be found at the embassy.

Business Japanese Course

The Business Japanese Course is a full-time course conducted by instructors specializing in job guidance and full-time teachers at JET Academy. This course provides professional guidance on employment and Japanese language, as well as preparing students to achieve the goal of passing JLPT N2 or N1.
The 3 months long course consist of more than 270 hours of studying Japanese, equipping students not only with the communication skills required for seeking employment in Japan, but also for sustaining employment in Japan. Apart from career seminars and company visits, opportunities for internships are also available for our students.

  • Japanese classes aiming to achieve JLPT N2 or N1 levels, more than 270 classes in 3 months (50 mins per class).

Summer Course

Summer course is a 6-weeks program from July to August.
Throughout the 4 weeks in July, students will learn Japanese in a comprehensive manner, and they will be assigned into different classes according to their Japanese proficiency level. Students will also be invited to take part in the school’s speech contest held in late July.
For extracurricular activities, there will be many opportunities to visit various places in Tokyo, watch performances like Kabuki, and enjoy events like the popular fireworks festivals.
For the remaining 2 weeks in August, the focus of study will be on conversational skills. While students learn how to speak more accurately and fluently, they can also have fun during conversational focused activities like interactive sessions with local university students.

Private Lessons

We will propose a lesson plan according to your preferred time. Apart from one-to-one private lessons, semi-private lessons in groups of 2 to 5 people are also possible.
Lessons are flexible and can be tailored to your goals, such as focusing on speaking, learning Kanji, preparing for JLPT, and preparing for entrance exams and employment interviews.
Until today, we have continued to provide Japanese lessons for care worker candidates at the request of medical facilities and foreign government agencies.
Online lessons and on-site lessons are also available.
