【Regarding College Preparatory Course】
Applicants who intend to get into Japanese universities are required to have completed twelve years of formal education. Although some could graduate high school in shorter periods (10 or 11 years) in their home countries, they are not eligible to further their tertiary education in Japan due to the local education system.
However, students who have successfully completed any Ministry-approved courses would be regarded as having completed the required twelve years and are eligible to sit for the entrance examinations held by colleges and universities.
The two courses offered at JET Academy, College Preparatory Course A (1 year / starting in April) 日本語進学科A (1 year / starting in April) and College Preparatory Course B 日本語進学科B (1.5-year / starting in October) are certified by the Ministry of Education and Science as ‘Preparatory Courses’.
